Chancellor announces extension of support for those on payroll and the self-employed as part of his Winter Recovery Plan

After extensive campaigning, both publicly and behind-the-scenes, for the avoidance of an October cliff-edge on support schemes, the Federation welcomes the extension of support for both those on payroll and the self-employed. However, CEO Caroline Norbury notes that a longer term approach is also needed:

“Creative industries are a major driver of economic growth. They bind communities together, delight millions and have the power to lead our regeneration as we reposition ourselves on the world stage. We need an ambitious plan of longer term investment to support this.”

– Caroline Norbury MBE, CEO, Creative Industries Federation
